Bentley S3 1965 restoration project from Saltash

On Wednesday 27th February I was sent a Facebook marketplace advert showing this Bentley S 3 for sale in Saltash Cornwall, it was about 10 miles from where my Mom lives in Looe.

I called the gentleman ( Paul Whitell ) we discussed the car and it’s condition, Paul said that he had the car running 9 months ago (bit of a stretch of immigration in my opinion) Paul told me all the welding was done, all new brakes, new exhaust, new tyres, this sounded a good project, and, I have never owned an S3 before, well actually I had in 1996/7 until the owner (John Wilde) a Canadian welshed on a deal and sent my cash back.
