Barnfind Drivefind Lancia Flamina 1959

Today 16/09/23 we discovered this quite rare Lancia Flamina V 2.5 litre 6 RHD languishing on a driveway in deepest Kidderminster West Midlands, apparently only covered around 40,000 miles from new, had a bump on the front panel then parked in a barn and a new car bought and replaced her by her wealthy Lancia enthusiast owner, the gentleman I purchased her from raced cars along with his late Father and brother.

They built a replica Ferrari 250 F1 chassis and we’re going to put the drivetrain into it from this car as apparently this car was designed by the same gentlemen that designed the F1 cars.

we were assured the engine was free but on getting her home putting a battery on and trying to turn her over we found she is actually locked up, we removed the plugs looked into the bores and they are all like new so I think it will be an easy unseize.

unusually it has inside and outside rear window wipers, I have never seen this on a car ever, you learn something new every day.

the car is as rotten as the proverbial pear but I think it’s quite an interesting project, we have a Bugatti style Aluminium single seater body that would make this a really cool race car.

registration number is transferable and interesting 800 MPJ
